Editor: The Journal of the Geological SocietyJamie is the Co-Editor of Geoarchaeology: An International Journal (since May 2007) and is also an Editor for the Journal of the Geological Society (since 2000).
First published in 1845, The Journal of the Geological Society is the Geological Society of London's flagship journal, publishing only the most topical and highest quality articles covering the full range of the Earth sciences. The Journal features short communications, interdisciplinary articles and reviews in key areas, and is one of the key titles for researchers in the geosciences. Jamie Woodward has been an Editor since 2000 and covers papers in the fields of Quaternary Science and Geomorphology.
Geoarchaeology was first published in 1986. It is an interdisciplinary journal that presents the results of original research at the methodological and theoretical interface between archaeology and the geosciences and includes within its scope: interdisciplinary work focusing on understanding archaeological sites, their environmental context and how the analysis of sedimentary records can enhance our understanding of human activity in Quaternary environments. The editorial office moved to Manchester in May 2007 (leaving North America for the first time) when Jamie took over as Co-Editor with Gary Huckleberry (University of Arizona).
