Staff
IARC's core membership comprises staff of the Institute for Development Policy and Management, School of Environment and Development, who research, consult and train in the field of impact assessment and sustainable development. In addition, the Centre draws on the expertise and staff resources of other research groups in the University of Manchester and beyond, and has an international network of research associates and assessment practitioners.
The core IARC staff have extensive experience in the areas of impact assessment, and have researched and consulted in many countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Central and Eastern Europe. The IARC group has specialist expertise in the following areas:
- economic, environmental and social impact assessment;
- regulatory impact assessment;
- sustainability impact assessment;
- poverty-reduction impact assessment;
- sustainable development indicators;
- participatory, accountability and empowerment approaches;
- performance, monitoring and evaluation, organisational change development;
