Research and consultancy funding
The School has an excellent track record in securing research and consultancy funding from sources in the UK, Europe and other international organisations.
Major research projects are funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the British Academy, the Leverhulme Foundation, the Nuffield Foundation, and the British Council.
International bodies such as the European Commission, the Ford Foundation and the Australian Research Council are sponsors of various high profile research studies.
The School has also received significant amounts of funding from major government departments, NGOs, regional agencies and local authorities to examine environment-development issues at local, regional and national scales.
