Climate Change Adaptation and Spatial Planning: a European Perspective
A Delphi process focused on improving understanding of climate change adaptation and spatial planning is being carried out between June and July 2011.
We are seeking to
- better understand the role of spatial planning in climate change adaptation;
- identify barriers to the effective application of spatial planning to this goal;
- and establish guiding principles for research and policy development.
This research is being carried out as part of the EU Interreg GRaBS project, a pan-European network of leading organisations involved in integrating climate change adaptation into regional and local planning and development.
