The 2nd seminar of the TCD Andes program “Understanding the political dynamics of social protest and elite response around extractive industries” was held in the Latin American Centre (St Antony’s College, Oxford University) on May 2nd, 2008.

The book 'Minería, movimientos sociales y respuestas campesinas. Una ecología política de transformaciones territoriales' was launched at the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos, Lima on August 9th.

The report 'Mining and Development in Peru, with special reference to the Rio Blanco Project' was presented at the Houses of Parliament, London, March 27th, 2007, in an event sponsored by the All Parliament Group on Peru and the Peru Support Group.
