SED Postgraduate Open Day - Wed 25 November 2009

The School of Environment and Development (SED) is hosting a postgraduate open day designed to provide prospective students and other people interested in postgraduate education at SED with an opportunity to visit the School, attend presentations on the postgraduate programmes offered by the School and meet key teaching staff.

Programme

The SED Postgraduate Open Day is being held on Wednesday 25 November 2009 from 11.00am to 3.30pm, with activities in different locations (see below).

School Stand

Ground Floor Foyer, Arthur Lewis Building

A School stand acting as the central point of information for open day visitors will be available from 11am to 3.30pm.

Staff from the SED Recruitment + Admissions and Teaching + Learning team will be available to answer any enquiries on postgraduate programmes and provide information on the the porogramme for the day.

Members of the School’s Recruitment and Admissions team will also be available in University Place, 4th floor, to answer enquiries (see below)

Session A: Postgraduate Research at SED (PhD/MPhil)

12noon – 1pm - Room 4.209, University Place.

Presenter: Dr. Chris Rees.

Session B: Postgraduate Masters in Geography

1pm - 2pm - Room 4.209, University Place.

Presenter: Dr. Jamie Evans.

Session C: Postgraduate Masters in Planning and Landscape

2pm - 3pm - Room 4.209, University Place.

Presenter: Dr. Carys Jones.

Session D: Postgraduate Masters in International Development

1pm-3pm - Boardroom, Arthur Lewis Building

Presenters: Dr Willy McCourt and Dr Dan Brockington.

As part of this session Dr Brockington will make a special presentation on the following Masters programmes:

Admission to the open day is free of charge and everybody is welcome.
