Manchester Planning Success in Guardian University Guide 2010
Planning and Landscape at Manchester has been ranked 3rd out of 43 in the Guardian newspaper's annual league table.
The Guardian bases its rankings on a combination of measures of student satisfaction, learning resources available to students and career prospects. The Guardian University Guide covers full-time undergraduate courses at universities across the UK, and is aimed at prospective students wishing to begin their studies in 2011.
The results of the Guardian University Guide add to those from the 2008 National Student Survey, which placed Planning and Landscape fifth of 21 universities, with 87% of final year undergraduates reporting broad satisfaction with their studies.
Planning and Landscape admissions tutor Richard Kingston expressed his satisfaction with the results. "The Guardian league table again confirms that students benefit from a high quality education at Manchester", he commented.
