Specific research interests
My research interests are inter-disciplinary and include: Environmental and ecological economics in the context of sustainable development and environmental health. The public health impact from environmental degradation linked to the agricultural sector in Central Asia is the primary focus of my doctoral research. Within IDPM, I am currently involved with two research projects:
- Impact Assessment (Trade SIA) of the Association Agreement under negotiation between the European Community and Mercosur Impact Assessment Research Centre (directed by Professor Colin Kirkpatrick), IDPM, School of Environment and Development, The University of Manchester
- Regulatory Processes and the Use of Impact Assessment in collaboration with the European Network for Better Regulation (ENBR)
