Architecture undergraduate
International students
Manchester has an important place in the history of urban development and industrialisation, and continues to be a fascinating site for the investigation of complex architectural and urban design issues: a tremendous local socio-economic and historic context for the study of architecture.
It is therefore no surprise that each year several students from Europe and beyond come to Manchester to study architecture.
The Manchester School of Architecture offers you the opportunity to become a fully qualified architect with degree courses validated by the Architects' Registration Board (ARB) and by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the professional body of architecture professionals in the UK. This provides you with an internationally-recognised qualification that can help you work as an architect in an international setting.
We normally expect applicants to hold an A-level in Art, but we are flexible and open to other types of international qualifications. Because Architecture at Manchester is a design-oriented course, most candidates will also be asked to supply samples of their drawings by post. Our admissions team is very experienced in evaluating international qualifications and can offer further specialist advice.
