About Architecture
The Manchester School of Architecture (MSA) was created in 1996 by an amalgamation of the extant architecture schools in the University of Manchester and the Manchester Metropolitan University, forming one of the largest schools in the UK.
The School currently has in excess of 600 undergraduates, with a first year intake of about 200 to its three-year BA (Hons) in Architecture , and about 100 students registered on its two-year BArch degree . Both degree programmes are administered jointly by the two Universities.
MSA has an excellent reputation for undergraduate teaching, and received prescription from the Architects Registration Board (ARB) in June 2004 for the maximum period of four years and validation for the full four years (and a very positive report) from the Visiting Board of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in March 2004
