School of Environment and Development

External relations

The School of Environment and Development has a strong external identity based upon a unique combination of problem-solving disciplines - architecture, geography, planning and international development.

The School addresses pressing contemporary issues of social justice, poverty, development, environmental risk, global warming and urban change. It attracts ambitious, talented students and researchers who want to play an opinion-forming role and engage with the practical concerns of knowledge-users at every scale, at home and abroad. So external affairs are central to the School’s academic mission.

The SED External Affairs team handles:

External Affairs provides a one-stop shop for all kinds of enquiries about the School’s expertise, teaching programmes and research activities. The team works closely with the School’s four disciplines and with faculty and central levels within the University, particularly the International Office and the Division of Development and Alumni Relations.
